Ribfest returns for 3-days at Vinoy Park in Tampa on November 10-12th with over 28 years of rockin’ ribs and helpin’ kids presented by Sonny’s BBQ.

This three day charity fundraiser helps a variety of youth oriented causes.  Ribfest features the best BBQ ribbers in the world, national touring bands playing classic southern rock and country hits on The Fran Haasch Law Group Main Stage.

Eggs by the bay EGGfest

Eggs by the Bay EGGFest on October 7th is not a run-of-the-mill food event. Here you’ll come to taste mouthwatering creations from some of the best backyard cooks in the Tampa area and beyond, all while enjoying the beautiful view at the A La Carte Pavilion’s well-shaded waterfront location.

All of the lip-smacking food is prepared on, arguably, the most iconic grill in the cooking world, a Big Green Egg. And not just one, dozens of Big Green Egg’s. EGGheads, as they’re known, travel far and wide to showcase their skills at these events.

Also free ongoing cooking demonstrations throughout the event. Live music will help set the scene for an epic afternoon of delicious food and memories. Also come inside to cool off in a air conditioned showroom where there will be dozens of products on display to help simplify outdoor living.

Lake County Folk Festival 

The Annual Lake County Folk Festival celebrates its 20th year on October 14th and 15th with musicians, crafters, artists and food vendors, all converging in Historic Downtown Eustis and Ferran Park on Lake Eustis.

Nine different venues throughout the downtown and lake front provide the setting for 64 performing groups with more than 150 musicians. They will be performing a variety of musical styles: including original, americana, traditional and vintage folk, blues, celtic, bluegrass, and gospel with some oldies thrown in.

Sit in the shade at the historic Alice B. McClellen Band Shell in the park, visit in the cool comfort of Bay Street Theater, Lake Eustis Museum of Art or check out the other venues. Bring your instrument and jam along at the jam tents. Want to try your hand at song writing? Write a song for the “Funniest Folk Song” contest.

The children’s area in the park at the gazebo offers special projects for children including all day free craft projects, games and contests and the Eustis playground. This family oriented musical event is the longest running FREE folk festival in the state of Florida providing a truly unique cultural and musical experience for all ages.

Welcome to an epic Renaissance Festival of Central Florida happening at Bill Frederick Park. Step into the kingdom for 5 days and nights of regal fun (October 14,15,20,21 & 22nd). Immerse yourself in the world of Renaissance and beyond, filled with adventure, fantasy and “knightly” music.

The festival will feature some of the best recreations and reenactments from the renaissance period, full of kings, queens, lords, ladies, knights, nobles, pirates, and even fairies, elves and trolls. Watch exciting jousting tournament daily. Meet Leonardo DaVinci as he works on his art. Experience Robin Hood’s Archery Range in Sherwood Forest. Meet the Explorers and say hello to Black Beard and his friends. You might even spot a dragon or two at Dragon’s Lair Music Arena.

There’s fun for everyone including the kids as they get to bounce around in their own Castle or test their luck in the gaming area. Plus a petting zoo and animal attractions.

Central Florida Cycle for Life

Get your wheels in motion for the 6th annual bicycle event as you ride through some of the most picturesque and scenic terrain in Volusia County. Happening on October 1st at Volusia County Fairgrounds.

CF Cycle for Life is a fully-supported ride with route options of 32, 65 and 100 miles. From breakfast to the cycle post party, you can enjoy fully stocked rest stops every 10-12 miles, bike mechanics for bicycle maintenance and repair, ride marshals to cheer you along the way and plenty of support vehicles to help you complete the ride.

This unique event empowers participants to take action and demonstrate their fight in finding a cure for cystic fibrosis in a tangible, emotional and powerful way.

The Epcot International Food and Wine Festival at Walt Disney World returns August 31st until November 13th.

Tampa Bay’ Tailgate Taste Fest

 

Tampa Bay Sports Commission and the Event Development Institute will join forces once again to host the fourth annual Tampa Bay’s Tailgate Taste Fest presented by Coca Cola Beverages Florida. The Bay’s best tailgating foods will be on display as the festival returns to Curtis Hixon Park in downtown Tampa on September 30th.

Enjoy the day’s best college football matchups on large LED screens, live music, cold beer courtesy of Pepin Distributing and plenty of the best food from around Tampa Bay. Kids and adults alike will enjoy family-friendly activities in the Stubb’s BBQ Fan Zone featuring activities from some of the area’s sports franchises.

Admission is FREE and the event is family- and dog-friendly. Food sample wristbands and VIP packages are available for purchase online now as well as on site the day of the event.
