The Central Florida tourism industry will wrap up National Travel & Tourism Week (May 3-11) with the annual I-Drive 5k Run at Pointe Orlando on May 10th.
Hosted and organized by Pointe Orlando, the International Drive Improvement District and Track Shack, proceeds benefit the I-Drive YMCA Aquatic Center’s “Safe Start” Water Safety Program. This year’s theme is “let your inner character run free,” and all runners are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Orlando character for the race.
Race begins at 7:30 a.m. followed by the Kid’s Dash at 8:45 a.m. Awards ceremony will take place at 9:00 am.

The town of Celebration, Florida will become the Pie Capital of the World April 26-27th. Thousands of pie lovers, tasters and bakers will gather together for the 14th Annual American Pie Council’s Great American Pie Festival.
Help preserve America’s pie heritage by taking part in the Never Ending Pie Buffet, pie eating contests, pie baking activities, cooking demonstrations, PieCasso art, the Baker’s Square Pietopia stage with live music and entertainment, games and lots more.

The 18th Annual Leesburg Bikefest thunders into Lake County, April 25th until 27th. This three day motorcycle rally and music event has quickly grown to one of the largest and most popular events of its kind.
The Leesburg Bikefest is a friendly, fun-filled atmosphere and draws enthusiasts from around the country. Entertainment includes bike exhibitions, merchandise vendors, the Ms. Bikefest pageant, biker games, specialty events and much more.
