Orlando Chili Cook-off


Get ready Orlando the annual Orlando Chili Cook-off is back February 6th in Downtown Orlando at Festival Park.

Enjoy over 100 different types of chili plus check out the world chili eating challenge with 25 gallons of chili and 10 competitors, live music (line up to be announced soon).

Upgrade your cook-off experience with a V.I.P viewing area presented by Miller Lite with a exclusive bar severing up ice cold Miller Lite and private restrooms.

Light Up UCF 


Light Up UCF, an affordable family winter wonderland featuring ice skating, rides, and holiday attractions, makes its annual return to CFE Arena starting November 13th until Jaunary 3rd.

Light Up UCF is one of Orlando’s most anticipated holiday attractions. In their 8th season comes brighter lights, snowier nights, and cooler rides. Patrons can expect a magical experience this year at Light Up UCF.

You’ll be able to enjoy a number of free activities including the Holiday Light Show, the Holiday Film Festival, and parking. The Holiday Light Show, presented by Orlando Sanford International Airport, is made up of thousands of individual lights that pulse and strobe across the arena façade, palm trees, and ice rink in perfect synchronization and choreographed to various holiday songs. The falling snow will create a magical effect during every light show. The Holiday Film Festival allows families to gather under the stars to view their favorite holiday films on a two-story movie screen each Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday night.

Also the Ice Rink, presented by Central Florida Expressway Authority has become a fan favorite over the years. Guests are invited to enjoy Central Florida’s largest outdoor ice skating rink while gliding along to their favorite holiday tunes spun by a live DJ.

Light Up UCF features rides suitable for the entire family ranging from the Hunter Vision Ferris Wheel, where riders can enjoy a panoramic view of the UCF campus to the Light Up Express Train, great for children of all ages. Visitors can also check out the Arctic Glide Ice Slide, where they can climb to the top of the tower and glide on disc sleds across the 100-foot ice way. Making its annual appearance, the Blizzard offers a whirling and twirling thrill ride, where patrons can twist, tilt, and spin themselves crazy. Visitors can also stop into Santa’s Workshop presented by Coca Cola in the NEW Light Up Lane, where they can share their Christmas wishes and have a photo taken with Santa. The Duke Energy Community Stage will offer visitors local talent to watch and enjoy.

Looking for more holiday fun? The Light Up UCF Knight Run 5k will be back for its third year on November 21. A portion of this year’s run will benefit Knight-Thon: UCF’s Dance Marathon benefiting Greater Orlando Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and H.O.P.E. Helps, Inc. The Light Up UCF Knight Run is open to participants of all ages and activity levels.

The Tampa Y’s Goody Goody Turkey Gobble 5k


Join the Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA on thanksgiving morning for a 5K or one mile walk/run in downtown Tampa on November 26th at Amalie Arena.

The Tampa Y’s Goody Goody Turkey Gobble 5K is a chip-timed race on a USATF-certified course beginning and ending at Amalie Arena. The route is an out and back course taking participants across the Platt Street bridge and along the beautiful and scenic Bayshore Boulevard. Strollers are welcome and there will be music, refreshments and family fun.

Also 100% of proceeds raised from the Goody Goody Turkey Gobble 5K will support the LIVESTRONG at the YMCA program for cancer survivors and their families.
